Square meters and square feet measure area, not length. That matters when comparing rooms, apartments, offices, tiles, flooring and renovation estimates.
Use Square Meters to Square Feet or Square Feet to Square Meters when a listing or plan uses the other unit.
Area grows in two dimensions
A length conversion is not enough. Area includes width and length, so square-unit factors are different from simple meter-to-foot factors.
One square meter is about 10.764 square feet
This is the practical anchor for property comparisons. For quick estimates, 10.8 is often close enough, but use exact conversion for documents.
Do not compare only the number
Layout matters too. Two rooms with the same area can feel very different depending on shape, doors, windows and usable wall space.
