Campaign URL QA Checklist Before Launch

A campaign link should be checked before it enters an email, ad, QR code or social post. Once the link is shared, a small mistake can split reports for weeks.

Build the final link with the UTM Builder, inspect encoded values with URL Decode Text, and encode unsafe values with URL Encode Text.

Check the destination first

Open the base page before adding parameters. UTM values cannot fix a wrong landing page, a staging URL or a redirect chain that points somewhere unexpected.

Check each UTM field

Source, medium and campaign should follow the same naming rules used in the rest of the account. Content and term are optional fields, not a place to hide missing campaign structure.

Test the final URL

Paste the final URL into a browser, confirm that the page loads, and check that the query string stays attached after redirects. Save one approved example for the next campaign.
