CTR, or click-through rate, measures how many impressions turn into clicks. It is useful for ads, search snippets, emails and links, but it should not be treated as the final result.
Use the CTR Calculator to calculate the rate. Then compare it with Conversion Rate, CPA and Revenue Per Visitor.
What CTR tells you
CTR shows whether the preview, headline, creative or placement makes people want to click. It is a signal of attention and relevance.
What CTR does not tell you
A high CTR can come from curiosity, vague promises or poor targeting. If users leave quickly or do not convert, the click was not enough.
Use CTR for diagnosis
Low CTR can point to weak copy or poor audience fit. High CTR with poor conversion points to a mismatch after the click.
